The shark known for the highest AKG Alkyglycerols are the Squalidae. Swimming at depths of 3,500 to 5,000 feet below the ocean surface in the unpolluted waters of the South Pacific and North Sea, they become trapped in nets set by deep sea fisherman. Since they can't be returned to the sea, their livers are harvested immediately, carefully handled, and delivered to laboratories for processing and purification.
The oil therefore is only available as a by product of the commercial fishing industry and endangered sharks are not allowed to be killed solely for their oil. |
